Dessert Before Meal

Most of the time after completing my main meal favorite, the last thing on my mind is the Dessert. No meal is complete without Dessert. A dessert is a type of food which gives the final touch to the end of the meal to be perfect. The origin of the term is very interesting. The term "dessert" was derived from Old French word "desservir" which means cleaning the table. Normally, the desserts are sweet foods. Some desserts like cheese types have different tastes. The trend to have desserts at the end of the meal is relatively new in Western culture. If we look back in time, we can see that it was always a practice that has nuts and fruits at the end of the meal. Gradually became desserts. But sweet dish was comparatively new addition to the list. The types deserts are common custard, fruit, pudding, cookies, crackers, pies, cakes, ice cream, gelatin desserts, cakes, sorbets, soufflés, meringues, petits fours and giblets and many more.

Before the development of the sugar industry in the 19th century, sweet used to be beyond the reach of the middle class. This was a delicacy rare vacation. A sweet dish in the meal was a note of the aristocracy of the time. After the sugar industry was mechanized, sugar became cheaper. And, therefore, gradually took a permanent place in the meal. In some dishes, dessert, not used as a separate part at the end of the meal. In these kitchens, sweet dishes eaten during the meal. In some cultures, the dessert is not all a part of the meal. They are especially reserved for special occasions. Desserts are often separate meal eaten as soon after the meal. But obviously you do when your configuration has a casual tone. In the American concept, any sweet dish that follows Food can be a dessert. Be beaten or other drinks, there are many restaurants that specialize in the field of desserts.

We also have a glossary of cooking terms, a section on kitchen safety, measuring guide, a section on nutrition and A table of virtual recipes where you can add all your favorite recipes!
